6 Tips to Improve Twitter Link Click Through Rate

Dan Zarrella of Hubspot analyzed 200,000 tweets and drew the following conclusions about the success of various post components. Linda Bustos of Get Elastic took this one step further by breaking down each of the 6 tips here.

My translation of these tips:

  1. Aim for about 125 character tweets
  2. Place links in the first half of a tweet
  3. Always include a mention (@) and a hashtag (#)
  4. Use adverbs (profusely) to grab attention
  5.  Create a good paper.li
  6. Make sure to tweet (or schedule tweets) during the weekend
